ANNUAL REPORT
VIBRANT HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE
2023/24
Year in Review
Our wellness programs are designed to support overall well-being and lifestyle. Through activities like fitness, and community engagement, these programs empower you to live a healthier and more fulfilling life.
We facilitated 768 group sessions during the year, with a total attendance of 13,625 participants. Despite the challenges posed, we ensured the continuity of these programs, adapting to the needs of our clients to keep them engaged and connected. These wellness initiatives not only help in addressing physical health but also play a crucial role in supporting mental and emotional well-being, particularly for those who might otherwise feel isolated.
This Year, Vibrant recognizes another successful year of providing community services encompassing wellness programs, healthcare, and attendant care services. As we reflect on this past year, we have seen encouraging progress toward our goal of meaningful engagement. We remain committed to providing holistic health and community services that ensure independence and well-being for individuals facing barriers to care.
Over the past year, with input from our community, we have updated our Mission, Vision, and Values to better reflect who we are today. We continue to learn from our experiences and seek solutions to meet the changing needs of those we serve.
2023-24 was a financially challenging year as we incurred extraordinary building maintenance costs at our Yonge Street Community Health Centre site, and had higher costs of providing attendant care services for Supportive Housing. This is reflected in the summarized Statement of Operations on page XX. The excess of expense over revenue was funded using balance sheet reserves held for such purposes, and Vibrant remains financially healthy.
As we recognize the lives we've touched and the partnerships we've built along the way, we remain dedicated to maintaining the continuity of our services, including programs, workshops, and support systems, that have become vital resources for those we serve. By ensuring that these essential services remain accessible and impactful, we will continue to empower individuals and strengthen our community.
All this would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our staff, engaged community, and volunteers who continue to go above and beyond to make a real difference in our community.
You can read more about our impact in the pages of this report as we look forward to the year ahead, we are excited about the opportunities to grow and further our impact.

Programs & Services
Our programs and services are built around three key pillars: healthcare, attendant care, and wellness programs. These pillars form the foundation of our work, ensuring that we meet the diverse needs of our community.
Healthcare
At Vibrant, we believe in a client-centred, multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare. This means that our clients are at the centre of any planning and decision-making about their treatment or care. Dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our community, we offer a holistic approach to health through specialised services such as chiropody, nutritional counselling, counselling services, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, diabetes care, and expert medical support.
We continue to provide comprehensive healthcare services, both in-person and virtually, to meet the evolving needs of our clients. Over the past year, we served 1,782 clients, offering a mix of 9,100 virtual interactions and 6,726 on-site interactions. Virtual care has played a significant role in maintaining accessibility, particularly for clients facing barriers to in-person visits. Feedback has been positive, with 94% of clients expressing satisfaction with the convenience and quality of their virtual healthcare experiences.
Attendant Care
Our attendant care services are offered 24/7 to support independence and lifestyle choices in an integrated community environment to over 40 clients at 3 locations. These services include assistance with all the activities of daily living (personal care such as dressing, transfers, showering, bathing, dressing; meal preparation, housekeeping, shopping, etc.), consumer-directed quasi-medical procedures (such as bladder and bowel care, ventilator and tracheotomy care); escort to access health-related appointments.
This year, 46 clients benefited from our Attendant Care Services, receiving a total of 118,827 hours of service. These services ensure that individuals with barriers receive the necessary daily support, helping them maintain independence and a higher quality of life.
Wellness Programs
This year, with valuable input from community members and staff, we updated our Mission, Vision, and Values to more clearly reflect Vibrant's role in society. These guiding principles form the foundation of our work and ensure we stay aligned with our purpose and goals as we serve the community.

To provide holistic health and community services to enable independence and well-being for individuals with barriers to care.
In our continued efforts to create an inclusive environment, we have made significant upgrades to our facilities to improve accessibility for all. This includes the construction of new AODA-compliant washrooms, designed to meet the needs of individuals with varying mobility challenges. Additionally, we have installed wave-to-open buttons throughout the centre, allowing for easier, contactless access to key areas. As a result, 82% of our clients agree that Vibrant Healthcare Alliance's site locations are physically accessible, with clear considerations for individuals with disabilities.
